Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Dibrugarh Airport Arrival to Namsai

Morning / Afternoon: Pick-up from Dibrugarh Airport. Begin the drive toward Arunachal Pradesh along scenic tea garden routes and cross the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Setu (Dhola-Sadiya Bridge).

Stop at Namsai to visit the Golden Pagoda (Kongmu Kham), and checkin in a beautiful river resort

Day 2 - Namsai to Dong via Parshuram Kund & Lohit River

Morning: After breakfast, head to Parshuram Kund, a sacred pilgrimage site set on the lower reaches of the Lohit River. Take in the dramatic mountain landscapes and pristine turquoise river waters.

Afternoon Drive: Continue driving along the scenic winding roads parallel to the Lohit River toward Walong, passing through Hayuliang and Hawai. Enjoy view stops at Hawa Camp overlooking the river valley.

Evening: Reach Walong / Dong village base by late afternoon. Check into your homestay, meet your local guide for the next morning's trek, and rest early.

Day 3 - Midnight Dong Sunrise Trek & Tilam Hot Spring

Early Dawn Wake up early and drive to the base bridge. Cross the hanging bridge over the Lohit River and begin the 1.5 to 2-hour guided trek up to the Dong Sunrise Viewpoint.

Sunrise at Dong: Reach the plateau to witness the first rays of sunlight on Indian soil. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks and river valleys as the sky brightens.

Late Morning: Trek back down for a hearty breakfast at your homestay.

Afternoon: Visit the Tilam Hot Spring (Walong Hot Springs) located near the riverbank. Relax in the natural warm sulfur water to soothe your muscles after the morning trek.

Evening: Overnight stay at Dong

Day 4 - Day Trip to Kibithoo & Kaho Village

Morning: Drive toward the northern border zone along the Lohit River.

Kibithoo: Visit Kibithoo, one of India's easternmost military and border outposts overlooking the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Kaho Village: Head to Kaho, officially recognized as the first village of India on the eastern border. Interact with the local Meyor community, explore the village monastery, and admire the river views.

Afternoon / Evening: Stop at the Walong War Memorial to pay tribute to the soldiers of the 1962 Indo-China War. Return to Walong for dinner and an overnight homestay.

Day 5 - Walong to Namsai / Tezu

Day 6: Namsai / Tezu to Dibrugarh Airport (Departure)
